True Blood Lidera Indicações no Scream Awards 2010

Com 10 indicações, True Blood é a série líder do Scream Awards 2010. Nomeado em 1/3 do total das categorias, os vampiros da HBO são a grande revelação da telinha, porém Lost concorre com oito indicações e Dexter com cinco. Séries como Doctor Who, Heroes, Smallville e V também marcam presença no evento que ocorrerá no dia 19 de outubro.

A premiação do canal a cabo Spike TV homenageia as produções de fantasia, horror e ficção científica da TV, cinema e também os quadrinhos que fizeram sucesso na temporada passada.

O primeira edição do prêmio ocorreu em 2006 e de lá pra cá só ganhou reconhecimento e fãs. Diferentemente das outras premiações, as categorias de cinema e TV não são separadas, atores da tela grande e pequena competem juntos nas categorias dos gêneros horror, sci-fi e fantasia. Outro diferencial do evento são as categorias inusitadas como melhor cena de mutilação (Most Memorable Mutilation) e cena mais bizarra (Holly Sh*t Scene of the Year).

A lista dos  indicados é formulada por uma comissão que conta com nomes como: Damon Lidelof, Joss Whedon, Quentin Tarantino e Tim Burton.
